Architecture site plan drawing by Omar Calderon.

How to Set Up Preferences

Tap the Wrench button and then select "Preferences" to set up your preferences for your drawing. This will override your New Project Default Settings from the main Settings area.

New Layer Color

Set the color for new layers that you add to a drawing.

Pro Tip
If you change this to the Blank option (red strike-through), you will avoid getting a 50% opacity layer added to every project that you create.

Layer Drop Shadows

Turn this on to view a subtle drop shadow around the boundary of each layer. This will not export when you share your drawing.

Stack Layers

When enabled, all new layers will match the exact size of your background layer. When disabled, new layers will match the size of your current view.

Edit Images

Turn on to use the Eraser and Lasso with images.

Tool Color

Change the color of your ruler, triangle, protractor, and stencils.

PDF Slider

Show or hide the PDF Slider for navigating quickly between pages in your PDF.

Show Line Length

Turn this on to see the length of your line as you draw.

Hold to Straighten Line

When this is on, you can hold your Pencil after you draw a stroke to turn it into a straight line.

Undo/Redo Gesture

Toggle this on to use a two-finger tap to undo and a three-finger tap to redo. If you toggle this off, you can only use the undo and redo icons in the pen toolbar to undo and redo your actions.

Zoom Rotation Lock

Toggle this on if you prefer to always keep your sheets upright without rotating as you zoom in and out.

Rotation Snap

Snap tool and layer rotations at 45º and 90º.

Pro Tip
If you have this turned on, you can snap below 3º by rotating your tool or layer back and forth 3 times.
