How to Get Started with Basic Gestures
Trace uses all of the most familiar gestures including one finger tap to select a tool, pinch to zoom, and much more. These gestures are made to work perfectly with Apple touch technology for a seamless experience.
Select
Tap with one finger to select tools, pens, modes & more.
Pan Drawing
Drag one finger to pan around your drawing. To enable this gesture, turn on "Pencil Only Mode" and "One Finger Drag" in your Trace settings.
Reorder Projects, Folders, Layers & Colors
With one finger, press and hold a project or folder until it pops up. Then you can drag it to change the order. You can use this same gesture to rearrange your layers in your layer toolbar or your colors in your palettes.
Zoom & Resize
Pinch two fingers to zoom in and out of your drawing. You can also use this gesture to resize your drawing layers, images, and text.
Pro Tip
To lock the view so the drawing doesn't rotate when you pinch to zoom, tap the Settings Gear button in the project page and toggle "Zoom Rotation Lock" on.
Rotate & Pan
Press and rotate two fingers to rotate and pan your drawing view.
